Edmonton police charge two men with first-degree murder after woman slain

Homicide detectives have charged two men with first-degree murder in the death of a 34-year-old woman last week.

At roughly 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, northwest patrol officers responded to a call in the area of Conestoga Street and Bonaventure Avenue, said police in a release.

Upon arrival, they located a deceased 34-year-old woman.

On Wednesday, an autopsy confirmed that Shallu died as a result of multiple stab wounds, and her death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators have charged Roshan Lal, 39 and Bal Kishan, 41 with first-degree murder. Police say the victim and the two men accused were known to each other.
