ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) - One person was killed and several people sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a crash Thursday afternoon in Rockbridge County , according to Virginia State Police.

Police say the crash occurred at 5:08 p.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 81 at mile marker 181.

Ten vehicles were involved, including six tractor trailers, three passenger vehicles and a medical transport van with no patient on board.

The person who was killed has been identified as Abdiqadir Ahmed Nur, 36, of Shakopee, MN. Police say he was in the last vehicle in the crash, and ran into the several tractor trailers.
