ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office said Friday 24-year-old James Blake was sentenced to 21 years in prison for a 2021 murder.

Blake was convicted of robbing and murdering Kathon Moore, 14, in the middle of the day in the West End neighborhood in March of 2021. A jury in June found Blake guilty on charges of second-degree murder, second-degree robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action.

“Kathon Moore’s life mattered,” said Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. “Our office will never waver in holding violent offenders accountable and standing with the families devastated by senseless acts of violence.”
