The Lake Agassiz Regional Library recently received 300 new books for children thanks to a donation from the Brownstone Book Fund, a private foundation in New York City.

The Book Fund is invested in fostering early reading, a love of books and encouraging parents and children to read together, a release said.

The donations were made to the library system's three largest locations in Moorhead, Detroit Lakes and Crookston, and include titles such as "Make Way for Ducklings," "Caps for Sale," "Guess How Much I Love You" and "Madeline," among many others.
