INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) - A man who had been in court for a 2023 domestic violence charge now faces more time behind bars after he allegedly threatened to kill the judge.

Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records indicate that Frank M. Hernandez, 62, of Kansas City, Kansas, has been charged with tampering with a judicial officer - a felony.

A probable cause statement filed by the Independence Police Department revealed that Hernandez had been arrested after failing to appear on a 2023 domestic violence charge.
