Police have made an arrest in a shooting last month in New Haven.

It happened on Shelton Avenue on Aug. 18.

Arriving officers found a 31-year-old victim at the scene with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police developed a suspect and arrested 28-year-old Jakar Brok-Williams on Tuesday.

Brock-Williams is charged with first-degree assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, and illegal discharge of a firearm.

He is being held on $300,000 bond.
