WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police have charged a 55-year-old man with murder in connection with the death of a 51-year-old woman who was found dead in a car in Winston-Salem earlier this month.

According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, officers found Ronda Larochelle Oglesby, 51, dead in a car on the 1600 block of E 24th St. in Winston-Salem.

Oglesby was suffering from "signs of physical violence", according to police.

WSPD said Oglesby was likely assaulted in her home and was later driven to E. 24th St.

On Friday, police arrested Samuel David Oglesby, the woman's estranged husband, and charged him with murder and concealment of an unnatural death. He is being held at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office without bond.
