A multi-week construction project along Highway 111 in Palm Desert is expected to bring lane closures and traffic delays to a stretch of the busy roadway.

The road work, part of a bridge maintenance project, is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 26, near the intersection of Park View and Highway 111, and continue for roughly three weeks. Daytime work will include milling, paving and replacing some materials, while night work is necessary to reach temperature requirements for bridge overlays.
