HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - Him is a messy but energetic horror from Monkey’s Paw, Jordan Peele’s production company, and while the film has a lot to say about a lot of subjects, it’s a bit too scattered to recommend.

Directed by Justin Tipping, Him stars Tyriq Withers as a phenom quarterback who may be drafted by his favorite team to replace an aging quarterback. He thinks his chances are in doubt when he is brutally attacked, causing a traumatic head injury, but when the aged quarterback, played by Marlon Wayans, invites him to a football training camp, Withers’s character thinks he can prove himself worthy of the job.
