HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A new restaurant is planned for Huntingburg.

The Huntingburg Common Council discussed a company out of Indianapolis desires to move forward with plans for a locally-owned restaurant. Officials say the property the company expressed interest in was along Veterans Parkway. Specifically, the location consists of two lots directly west of the current Arby's.

Officials say the real estate firm, which is a company out of Indianapolis, wants to put in a "locally-owned" restaurant on those lots, yet a name for the planned restaurant has not been released. All officials have heard from the Indianapolis company is the planned owner will be someone who presently operates a restaurant.
