CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A councilman was uninjured after a shooting near him in the University neighborhood in broad daylight.

According to a release from Cleveland Police, the shooting happened at 10:10 a.m. on the 1800 block of Magnolia Drive.

Victims, including Cleveland Councilman Kevin Conwell, said an unknown person fired shots as people were walking in the area.

No injuries were reported.

Cleveland Police have not identified any suspects in the shooting and it is still under investigation.

“The safety of our community remains our top priority,” a release from Cleveland Police said. “We encourage anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Cleveland Division of Police.”
