With the labour dispute between Canada Post and its over 55,000 employees nationwide now in effect, local postal employees in Timmins are fearful of losing their jobs, while service disruptions for mail and parcel services should be expected for both individuals and businesses.
Late Thursday afternoon, Canada Post released a statement that they were in full support of the federal government’s recent changes, which they believe will allow for “a strong, financially sustainable path forward that supports the changing needs of Canadians.”
