During a late timeout with Iowa (10-3, 1-0 Big Ten) trailing Maryland 23-21 in the third set of the Hawkeyes’ Big Ten opener, the public address announcer announced Chard’e Vanzandt had surpassed 1,000 career kills earlier in the set.
