HAMPTON, N.H. —
Investigators said they are hoping to speak with a driver who may have prompted several crashes on Interstate 95 in Hampton.
They said the pileup occurred around 6:40 a.m. Thursday, when the driver of a white car stopped in the open-road toll lanes and then drove off.
Troopers said that caused the driver behind the car to brake abruptly, leading to a three-car crash.
Two tractor trailers also crashed into each other while trying to avoid the crash.
Two people were brought to a hospital as a precaution.
