A 25-year-old man was arrested Monday following a multi-jurisdiction pursuit that began after a reported break-in at the Dollar General on Woodrow Wilson Avenue, authorities said.

Capitol Police said they received a call around 11:11 a.m. from an unknown complainant about the burglary. Security later spotted the suspect on the grounds of the Jackson Medical Mall. When officers approached, the man fled in a gray Nissan Altima, passing a Capitol Police officer and triggering a pursuit.

The chase moved west through the Capitol City Improvement District along Bowling Street and Northside Drive, then east on Highway 49, police said.
