A 25-year-old man was arrested Monday following a multi-jurisdiction pursuit that began after a reported break-in at the Dollar General on Woodrow Wilson Avenue, authorities said.
Capitol Police said they received a call around 11:11 a.m. from an unknown complainant about the burglary. Security later spotted the suspect on the grounds of the Jackson Medical Mall. When officers approached, the man fled in a gray Nissan Altima, passing a Capitol Police officer and triggering a pursuit.
The chase moved west through the Capitol City Improvement District along Bowling Street and Northside Drive, then east on Highway 49, police said. Officers later found evidence the Altima had hit a structure on a sharp curve along Joe Coker Road before continuing south on Lanewood Drive, where the driver los
