PORTLAND, Ore. — A Multnomah County judge on Friday sentenced a Portland man to four years in prison after he pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted sexual abuse, the Multnomah County District Attorney's Office reported.
Adam M. Caldwell, 43, was arrested on June 20, 2024, after he groped a 10-year-old girl at the Fred Meyer store located at the intersection of Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard and Southeast Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard.
After his release from prison, Caldwell will be required to register as a sex offender.
"This was a brazen act of sexual violence against a 10-year-old child," said Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Afton Coppedge, who prosecuted the case.
