HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) -- A Tell City woman charged in the death of a nine-month-old has been sentenced to nine years of community corrections.

A release from the Perry County Prosecutor says back in 2022, Perry County Emergency Services responded to a call of a baby not breathing in a crib. The baby was pronounced deceased at the scene. The release goes on to say Regina Reid was charged with neglect resulting in death, a level one felony.

In June of 2025, Reid pled guilty to neglect resulting in serious bodily injury. On September 8, the state recommended for Reid to receive the maximum number of years under the plea agreement, and that all nine years should be served at the Indiana Department of Correction.
