WAVE 3 NewsLOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - An organization dedicated to helping people through their grief is hosting an event dedicated to families with angel babies.
The annual Angel Walk honors the lives of babies who have passed from miscarriage or were born sleeping and families who have experienced infant loss.
Organizers say many people who go through this often have difficulty talking about their loss and act like it never happened.
Angel Walk aims to bring people together to support one another through a tough journey that they don’t have to walk alone.
“There’s no shame in talking about what happened,” said First Hour Grief Recovery Executive Director Lisa Schardin. “It is a different type of loss than any other loss because, you know, your baby’s dreams and hopes just aren’t going to happen.
