The Hamilton man pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Friday for killing his father, Kuldip Singh, outside the family’s home in Stoney Creek on Feb. 10, 2024. He was originally charged with first-degree murder.
The 56-year-old father was pronounced deceased in hospital after he was shot twice with a crossbow shortly after arriving at his home at 248 Penny Lane around 7:40 p.m. that night, according to an agreed statement of facts.
