EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear took a trip to Owensboro today to speak at the Kentucky League of Cities convention.
It’s a four-day meeting of more than 500 city officials from across the state.
At today’s session, awards were handed out to city officials for excellence they’ve achieved across Kentucky communities.
Governor Beshear came to thank them for all the growth they’ve contributed to the state.

The Kentucky League of Cities also promoted new officers to the board.
