AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - A Randall County grand jury indicted a woman for manslaughter last week.

Ruth Anna Reardon Burk, 42, was booked into Randall County Jail yesterday on the arrest warrant.

The indictment was filed in 251st District Court on Sept. 10.

The documents show that Reardon-Burk is accused of “recklessly causing the death of another individual...by leaving him in the tub of water without supervision.”

The date of the offense is given as May 10.

The age and relation of the victim was not listed in the indictment.

In Texas, manslaughter is a second-degree felony that carries a punishment range of up to 20 years in prison.

Reardon-Burk is currently held at Randall County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bond.
