According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office (GCSO), the body has been recovered and deputies are in the process of contacting family members.

No indication of foul play has been discovered at this time, and the body has been transferred to Coroner Craig Morrison.

The GCSO added that the body was discovered by a fisherman around noon on Friday. More updates will be shared on Saturday, officials stated.

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. – An investigation is underway after a dead body was discovered floating in Moses Lake near the community boat launch, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) announced on Friday.

The body was discovered in the 7000 block of Dune Lake Road Southeast, and investigators have started their work at the scene.
