LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A family-owned bakery in Louisville has received national recognition.

Nord's has been named the best bakery in Kentucky by the food blog "The Takeout."

"It is a very proud moment, because I know that, you know, myself and the girls up front and the guys in the back, whatever, we work really hard and some of the accolades that we have been able to, you know, gain over the years," said Jasmine Betts, a bakery employee.

Nord's became famous for its donuts, but it also offers cakes, cookies, and other baked goods.

"[It] just like blows my mind that we would even be recognized," Betts said. "That just goes to show that all of the hard work and the love that we really put into whatever, it pays off, and we are very, very proud of that.”

Customers raved about the bakery.
