McALLEN, Texas (Border Report) -- Officers at a port of entry in Del Rio, Texas, say they confiscated $200,000 in cocaine smuggled in figurine objects.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers say a 28-year-old man was sent to secondary inspection on Monday at the Del Rio International Bridge where officers discovered six packages of the drugs hidden within decorative obsidian figurines inside the car he was driving from Mexico.
The total weight of cocaine confiscated was 15 pounds, officials said Friday.
