MADISON (WKOW) -- A judge sentenced a woman to prison on Friday in connection to an attack with a two-foot-long machete .

According to court records, Sharon Davis was sentenced to three years in prison followed by three years of extended supervision. She pleaded guilty in June to aggravated battery, intending great bodily harm , in connection to the attack.

Prosecutors said D avis, 46, of Madison, cut off part of her roommate's ear during a fight at a home on Raymond Road in July 2023. They were arguing about their strained relationship, rent money, and the stabbing victim giving their address to men. Davis said her roommate tried to attack her, and that's what prompted her to swing the machete, cutting her roommate.
