CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Tamping down violence in Cincinnati and coming together to solve problems were the focus of a town hall held today in the West End.

Mayoral candidate Cory Bowman invited Cincinnati-native and Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to join him in leading the discussion.

About 100 people showed up for the Republican sponsored town hall. While there were some calls for change in the city’s democratic leadership, many speakers said violence is not a red or blue issue but rather a reason we must all unite to defeat those who are committing crimes.

Bowman said he has a business in the West End and lives in the neighborhood with his wife and four young children.
