Count on Nick Saban to tell it like it is.

The former Alabama coach, making his weekly appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” was asked about the difficulty playing on the road at Penn State during a “white out.”

The No. 3 Nittany Lions are hosting No. 6 Oregon.

“We played in a white out here, and it didn’t help them much,” Saban said to the delight of McAfee.

Back in 2011, Saban led the Crimson Tide to a 27-11 win.

“I do think the thing I always tried to emphasize with our team when we went on the road — whether it was a blackout, a whiteout, whatever it was — was that the fans don’t make any plays in the game,” Saban continued. “Yes, there’s going to be noise, and we’ll have to handle the noise like we do in all road environments.
