TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” and St. Luke’s is working to increase access and make mammograms more convenient.

According to the American Cancer Society, there’s a one in eight chance a woman will develop breast cancer in her life in the United States. It is recommended that women over the age of 40 schedule an annual mammogram.

According to St. Luke’s, Idaho consistently ranks at the bottom for screenings. To help combat this situation, the hospital group offers walk-in options in Twin Falls and Jerome. St. Luke’s recently launched a mobile mammogram clinic.
