LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A man has been convicted of murder nearly four years after a deadly shooting in the Park Hill neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police Department found Ousmane Ndaw found shot in the head near South 22nd and Dumesnil Streets on Nov. 1. Ndaw died at the scene.

Police arrested Kaelin Akins two days after the shooting. Akins was driving Ndaw's car when an officer tried to stop him, but police say he sped off. Following a pursuit, Akins got out of the car and tried to run away from police.

He was taken into custody and charged with murder, possession of handgun by a convicted felon, first-degree fleeing or evading police, and second-degree fleeing or evading police.

A jury convicted Akins on all charges on Thursday.
