LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. —

The Louisiana State Police issued body camera and dash camera footage showing the moments leading up to a deadly shooting involving a trooper.

The shooting happened on Sept. 8 after troopers tried to pull over a 2023 For-F-150 in Terrebonne Parish when a chase began.

The driver, Jonah Parfait, 46, of Houma, and his passenger, Darien Riffe, of Houma, led troopers on a chase into Lafourche Parish.

State police said the chase went in excess of 100 mph.

Riffe abandoned the truck during the chase and jumped a fence into a field.

Parfait drove away and later crashed on Lefort Bypass Road. He
