PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Several of Oregon’s U.S. delegates were in Portland recently to tour the federal ICE facility in South Portland.

The U.S. senators and representatives who toured the ICE facility included Senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, and Representatives Susanne Bonamici, Maxine Dexter, and Andrea Salinas.

They said their goal was to get answers about ICE’s enforcement tactics, how officers decide who to arrest, how they ensure due process, and if they facilitate attorney and medical access.

All of the lawmakers said they are still waiting on answers.

“I will tell you I am not at all satisfied with the answers and the evasion we got,” Representative Bonamici said.
