CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Wolfe Manor served many purposes during its 92 years of existence.

Built near Clovis and Santa Ana in 1922 ,it was first a private home.

After the original owner died an untimely death, it was turned into a hospital and sanitarium, then a nursing home.

Eventually, Todd Wolfe bought the property in the late 90s and took it from haunted reputation to attraction.

Even before Wolfe purchased the manor, many believed the spirits of those who died in the building still haunted the halls.

"I bought it for a Halloween attraction called 'Scream if you can' that we ran for many years and I was a major skeptic then, I never believed in ghosts," said Wolfe.

Wolfe operated the haunted attraction until the city of Clovis forced him to shut it down in 2004 over neighbors'
