FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno Fairgrounds was busy on Friday, preparing for tens of thousands to walk through the gates on October 1.

"The intent of the Big Fresno Fair is to be a place where the community can gather, and safety and security are all taken care of on site," said Taylor Collins.

Fair goers have a long list of options when it comes to deciding what to eat or explore.

From unique food stands to interactive pavilions, there are also historical museums, carnival rides and much more.

Special Events and Program Coordinator Taylor Collins says they understand expenses at the fair can add up and explains there are several opportunities to save a few dollars.
