DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - A Davenport man could spend the rest of his life in prison after a jury convicted him of sexually abusing a 14-year-old.
A Scott County Jury found Charles Spicer, Sr., 43, guilty on two counts of third-degree sexual abuse on Friday, according to court documents.
The charge rose from a Class C to a Class A felony because it was his second offense, making it punishable by life without parole.
In 2007, he was convicted of third-degree sexual abuse in Henry County, Iowa.
He was also convicted of sexual assault in 2001 in Missouri.
Spicer will be sentenced on Jan. 9, 2026, and has a pretrial conference on Oct. 3.
He was taken to the Scott County Jail with no bond, officials said.
