COLUMBUS, Ohio — It was a sight for sore eyes when rainfall returned to the Buckeye State this past week, but we're going to need to see more where that came from if we are hoping to put an end to the drought pattern across the state.

Sadly, the forecast is not showing much more chance for rain in the days ahead, and thus our drought will likely resume worsening after this week's moisture is accounted for and we dry back out.

Speaking of our current drought status, it's important to remember when looking at the drought monitor — two-week comparison below — that this data was collected on Tuesday and published on Thursday. This means any rain since early Tuesday will not be included in the calculation.
