WAGENER, S.C. (WJBF) - The Aiken County Coroner's Office is investigating after the death of a 10-year-old in Wagener.

10-year-old Tara Gram was struck by a Ford Expedition while trying to cross the 3000 block of New Holland Road. The incident happened Friday just before 4:30 p.m.

Tara was transported by EMS to Prisma Health Richland where she succumbed to her injuries at 5:51 p.m.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating. An autopsy has been scheduled for next week.
