TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Monsoon 2025 has awaken with just four days left, and a family of five had to be rescued from a wash early this morning just east of Tucson.
The Rincon Valley Fire Department was called to Old Spanish Trail Road near the Rocking K Market to save two adults and three children from fast-moving water. The rescue serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by flash floods in the area.
Nearby residents shared their experiences with the deceptive nature of local washes and terrain.
