ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Over 1,000 students gathered in Albany on Friday to learn about a new career path with National Grid. Students got to see electric and gas demonstrations.

The event showcased the different types of opportunities available for potential new employees with the hope of sparking the interest of the next generation of energy experts.

Event organizers said the event has been going on for six years and has grown by the hundreds each year.
