BELTON, Texas — The City of Belton and Hunt Companies broke ground on a new planned community this week, River Farm.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Sept. 24 for River Farm, which the City of Belton describes as a "municipal utility district."
According to Hunt Companies, the planned community is located on the Lampasas River on the site of the old Utley Ranch in Belton. The City of Belton said it will be located off Toll Bridge Road just outside the city limits. River Farm will reportedly feature homes on 45, 50 and 60-foot lots.
Belton City Council member Craig Pearson, Mayor Pro Tem John R. Holmes and Assistant City Manager Matt Bates were reportedly all in attendance for the groundbreaking, joining Southwest Senior Vice President of Development for Hunt Companies Rick Neff.
