Medicine Hat News
The Medicine Hat Tigers’ first road game brought their first speed bump.
The Tigers allowed four second period goals Friday to fall 6-3 at Swift Current to the Broncos.
Medicine Hat was on the board first, scoring just as a power play expired.
A Kyle Heger point shot ricocheted off Swift Current net minder Joey Rocha to overage forward Misha Volotovskii at the side of the crease and he scored his first of the season. Jonas Woo had the second assist as the Tigers lead 1-0 at 14:53.
The Broncos responded less than a minute later with a goal from Parker Rondeau. He fired a shot on Tiger’s starter Jordan Switzer that bounced in the crease and was pulled in by Switzer but not before crossing the goal line for the 1-1 score at 15:40.
