OSAKIS — Last week served as a reminder for the Osakis football team to finish every play on the field.

The Silverstreaks matched their 2024 win total as a result.

Osakis bounced back in a big way on Friday, Sept. 26, cruising past rival Sauk Centre 42-0 behind Trenton VanNyhuis’ four-touchdown game and the Silverstreaks defense forcing three Mainstreeters turnovers to move to 4-1, equalling last year’s mark for victories when the team finished 4-6.

After being handed its first defeat, a 41-14 loss against Holdingford on Sept. 19, Osakis head coach Bill Infanger credited his players for locking in early and focusing on execution.
