For the first time ever in program history, South Allegheny (6-0, 3-0) has won its first six games of the season.
The Gladiators officially went 6-0 overall — and 3-0 in Allegheny Conference play — with a dominant 62-14 victory against Ligonier Valley (0-6, 0-3). South Allegheny opened in 1966.
The Gladiators scored touchdowns through the air, on the ground and off defensive interceptions for an all-around, complete performance. It was a hot start for South Allegheny out of the gate, with the Gladiators scoring 34 points in the first quarter.
South Allegheny will look to continue its perfect streak with a trip to Shady Side Academy on Saturday, Oct. 4. South Allegheny finishes out its last three games of the season at home.
