DENVER (KDVR) — Federal Boulevard was closed in both directions Friday night after a deadly hit-and-run crash.

The Denver Police Department shared information about the crash on X at about 10:29 p.m.

The agency said the crash occurred in the area of 26th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, which is the border of Denver's Sloan Lake and Jefferson Park neighborhoods.

On Friday night, the department did not share which vehicle fled the scene or what vehicle had a fatality for an occupant or rider.

Police were asking the public to take alternate routes around the crash scene.
