Roni Niemeyer found the back of the net in the second quarter to provide Koinonia all the offense it needed to hold off Newark Academy and secure a 1-0 win in Plainfield.

Olivia Nogan assisted on the lone goal for Koinonia (4-1-1).

Newark Academy falls to 1-5 and will face a quick turnaround as it returns home to host Columbia on Saturday.
