After a rough loss at home last weekend, the Colorado Mesa football fell below .500 on the season at 1-2 through the first month. With three losses likely putting them on the outside looking in for a playoff bid come the end of the season, every game for the rest of the season is a must-win affair if the Mavericks hope to play into late November.

Before they can look that far ahead, though, Colorado Mesa must get back in the saddle and get a win this week on the road. The Mavericks travel today for a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contest against Chadron State — a team they have historically had success against.
