IRVINE — Dylan Elmer may not have walked off the field with the homecoming queen on Friday, but the junior put on a kingly performance in an impressive victory by University.
While apparently setting a school passing record, Elmer threw for 341 yards to lead the Trojans to a 34-7 nonleague victory over Glenn of Norwalk.
University improved to 2-3 overall; Glenn dropped to 2-4.
Elmer skipped the last two possessions, but still walked away 14 of 23 passing with three touchdowns and an interception. The 341 yards – which must be verified by the program – eclipsed the 334 yards by Koa Saito in 2023.
“It’s a great feeling,” Elmer said. “In the first half, it definitely felt like a record-setting game. The big game, homecoming night, the hard work we’ve been putting in, and bouncing back fro
