Udupi: AKMS bus owner Saifuddin was murdered by three men armed with deadly weapons. According to preliminary investigation, the assailants were drivers employed in Saifuddin’s own bus service, Udupi Superintendent of Police Hariram Shankar confirmed.

Speaking to the media after visiting Saifuddin’s residence at Kodavooru Salmara, SP Shankar stated that the crime occurred between 10 and 11 a.m. The attackers, armed with knives and swords, struck simultaneously, leaving multiple stab injuries on the victim’s body.

Police revealed that Saifuddin had a long criminal history with 18 cases registered against him in Udupi and Malpe police stations, and he was listed as a rowdy-sheeter. He was also a direct accused in two earlier murder cases.
