Have you already seen all the scares Louisville, a city of ghost tours and home of the Waverly Hills Sanatorium , has to offer?

Just about one hour away from downtown Louisville is the Hill of Terror in Bonnieville, Kentucky — the state's largest haunted attraction, according to its website .

Visitors are invited to explore a self-guided haunt fit with jump scares, limited lines and even a pre-scare set and laser show by "DJ R.I.P."

What is Hill of Terror?

Jason Srygler created Hill of Terror 16 years ago with his wife, Amy. The two are huge horror fans and enjoyed traveling with their niece and nephews to visit haunts around the state.

"There is something about scaring somebody that's hard to beat," Srygler said. "You watch them get startled, that's the funniest thing ever."
