Director says it’s ‘vitally important’ to film where history took place

Deborah Correa’s debut feature film, "The War Between," is a Civil War story about memory, identity and the humanity found in those once considered enemies.

The film, which premiered at the Phoenix Film Festival this year and recently held a special screening and Q&A with the creators and cast at Harkins Shea 14 in Scottsdale, is set to release digitally on Tuesday, Nov. 25, giving audiences worldwide the chance to experience Arizona history through a Western action lens.

The War Between was filmed entirely in Arizona, including at 4Y Ranch and Triangle T near Dragoon as well as in Picacho Pass, where the battle took place. (Photo courtesy of The War Between)
