The westbound lanes of Interstate 94 in St. Clair Shores are back open after a truck crash caused a massive traffic jam that last for hours Friday afternoon, according to police.
Michigan State Police said the incident took place about 4:30 p.m. on I-94 at the Frazho Road overpass.
The preliminary investigation shows the driver of a semi-truck tractor towing a flatbed trailer with a boom lift struck the Frazho overpass. MSP said the crash caused “significant damage” to the overpass.
“Motor Carrier officers arrived on scene and found several violations related to the driver’s permit and how the trailer was loaded,” F/Lt. Mike Shaw said in a news release.
No injuries were reported.
